Hi, my name is Charlize, and I’m currently in Year 12 at Manly Selective Campus, where I’ve been pursuing my studies for the past five years. I’m currently studying Mathematics Advanced and Extension 1, English Advanced and Extension 1, Modern History, Chemistry, and Accelerated Biology, which I have completed a year ahead of schedule. I’m deeply passionate about my subjects and consistently achieve strong academic results. Outside the classroom, I’m actively involved in a range of sports, including basketball, netball, and soccer. As a natural leader, I take pride in mentoring younger students, helping them reach their full potential and develop confidence in their abilities, something that has inspired my passion for tutoring. My name is Covey I'm 18 years old and from Newport, I've grown up on the Northern beaches my whole life. I went to Newport Public School and Pittwater High School and am now studying High School Education in the subjects of English and Society and culture at Macquarie University. I received multiple early entry university offers and completed HSC courses in English Advanced, English Extension 1 and English Extension 2. I also have over 2 and a half years of formal tutoring experience at a qualified centre. I gravitate towards teaching because of the fulfilment of seeing students progress over time and the positive impact I can have on their lives and learning. Having graduated in 2024 I also believe I offer a valuable perspective into the complex world of school through my own experience.

Stacey finished her Master of Writing in 2023 with a distinction/high distinction grade average and a focus on fiction and poetry. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Internet Communications) degree. Stacey loves writing fiction, reading, learning new things and inspiring others to love words just as much as she does. She has inherited her teacher librarian mum’s love of reading and inspiring younger readers to become bookworms. As a tutor, Stacey is passionate about engaging students in the learning process, sharing knowledge and empowering them to believe in their own abilities. Hi, my name is Will and I am a recent 2024 graduate of Freshwater Senior Campus and am continuing my education next year at UTS studying Bachelors of Molecular Biotechnology and Business. For my HSC I studied Maths, English, Chemistry, Biology and Economics, and I am due to get my results in a couple of weeks. Following my strong trial and internal assessment results I have received offers for early entry to UTS & Macquarie. I tutored some of my friends through the HSC this year in Maths and Biology, and enjoyed seeing them build their confidence in these subjects. I've always enjoyed maths and sciences throughout my schooling and was ranked top 10 in my cohort for Biology and Chemistry, and top 3 in Maths at Freshwater. Having just completed high school I have a good understanding of the pressures and expectations students are faced with and look forward in supporting others to gain more confidence or to push themselves.

Hi I’m Philly, lovely to meet you! I’m a qualified astrophysicist with a passion for education and have experience teaching at university and high school levels. I graduated school in 2013 with an ATAR in the mid 90s, alongside being an elite water polo athlete. I went on to complete a Bachelor of Science at the University of Newcastle, majoring in Physics and minoring in Mathematics, graduating with a High Distinction average. I then completed my Master of Physics with a Distinction average, majoring in Astronomy and Astrophysics, at the University of Western Australia. I have partially completed a PhD in Astronomy and Medical Physics. I have worked alongside some of the brightest minds in physics and mathematics internationally, and know the mindset and techniques that lead to academic success. I have a knack for communicating challenging concepts in various ways to cater for the diverse learning needs of students. I love providing tailored one-on-one assistance to students, delivered with compassion and understanding! Outside of academia, I manage an Australian Water Polo League team and spend a lot of time swimming and snorkelling around Manly.

My name is Remy, and I’m currently studying a bachelor of science and a master of mathematical sciences at the University of Sydney. I completed English Advanced, Maths Extension 1 and 2, Biology, Drama and IPT, receiving an ATAR of 96.30. I believe it was the study techniques I learned throughout high school that allowed me to achieve this result. My goal as a tutor is to share these study techniques and allow students to understand how to apply the knowledge they have gained throughout school to exam-style questions. Hi! My name is Holly and I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce at Macquarie University, majoring in both Marketing and International Relations. I received a 90.85 ATAR and ranked 1st in my English class group during the HSC. My journey with English hasn’t always been easy, I actually received one of the lowest NAPLAN bands when I was younger and struggled with reading and spelling — to the point where my teachers thought I needed glasses because they assumed I couldn’t see the classwork! What changed? I discovered what type of learner I am and began experimenting with different study methods after school. This led to better grades, and over time, it grew into a real passion for this subject. Inspired by this journey, I became a volunteer English tutor at my high school during my senior years, helping students who faced the same struggles I once had, which is how I found my passion for tutoring! I aim to be an approachable, engaging, and inspiring tutor who not only teaches the subject, but helps students understand what type of learner they are, what study methods work best for them, and how to use tools like AI to support their learning.
